2-pound smoked ham hock
1 cup dried lima beans
2 cups beef broth
1 clove garlic, peeled
1 small onion, peeled
1 bay leaf
2 cups water
HOW TO MAKE THIS INSTANT POT LIMA BEANS AND HAM;
Step 1. Rinse the dried baby lima beans under fresh water, removing any debris.
Step 2. Add ham hock, lima beans, garlic, beef broth, onion, bay leaf, and water in the Instant Pot. Ensure not to fill beyond half to prevent foaming.
Step 3. Secure the Instant Pot lid, set the valve to sealing, choose the pressure cook setting, and cook for 40 minutes.
Step 4. Once cooking is done, allow for a natural release for 10 minutes, followed by a quick release.
Step 5. Open the lid carefully and safely remove the bay leaf, garlic, onion, and ham hock from the Instant Pot.
