Ingredients:
1 cup white Cake mix, plus ingredients listed on the back of the box
2 ½ tbsp Butter
½ cup crushed Pineapple
½ cup Sugar
1 ½ cups Powdered Sugar
½ cup cream cheese
½ tsp Vanilla Extract
1 ½ cups Pecans, mostly crushed
Instructions:
- Coat an 8×8 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Prepare the cake mix by following the instructions on the package and pour in the greased baking pan.
- Place the baking pan in the preheated oven at 350°F and bake as per package instructions or until an inserted toothpick in the center comes out clean.
- Once done, remove from oven and let it cool for 5 minutes.
- Use a wooden spoon to create holes spaced approximately ½ inch apart on the cake’s surface and spread crushed pineapple evenly over the top.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Add butter, cream cheese, and vanilla extract in a bowl, and blend using an electric mixer until consistent.
- Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until creamy.
- Mix in crushed pecans.
- Evenly spread the frosting over the cooled cake using a spatula.
