INGREDIENTS:
2 cups cooked Chicken breast, diced
1 ½ cup Rice a Roni, Chicken Flavor
1 cup canned Cream of Onion Soup
½ cup Sour Cream
1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
French’s Fried Onions, for Garnish
HOW TO MAKE CREAMY CHICKEN & RICE CASSEROLE:
Step 1. Grease a 9×9 baking dish with a cooking spray.
Step 2. Pour water into a pot over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Add Rice and Roni and cook following half of the package directions.
Step 3. Transfer the Rice a Roni to the greased 9×9 baking dish, add cooked chicken, and mix well until fully incorporated.
Step 4. In a bowl, add cream of onion soup and sour cream, and mix well.
Step 5. Pour this creamy mixture over the chicken and rice blend and stir until evenly distributed.
Step 6. One cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Step 7. Transfer the baking dish to the preheated oven at 350°F and bake for 40 minutes.
Step 8. When ready, take the baking dish out of the oven and leave for 5 minutes to cool.
Step 9. Add a layer of French Fried Onions on top before serving.
