INGREDIENTS:
1 ¾ cup canned Salmon, drained
¼ cup Onion, finely chopped
4 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
4 tbsp Cornmeal
¼ cup Mayonnaise
1 whole egg
¼ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp black pepper
Cooking Oil for frying
HOW TO MAKE SOUTHERN FRIED SALMON PATTIES:
Step 1. Drain the Salmon and transfer it to a mixing bowl.
Step 2. Flake the salmon into smaller, bite-sized pieces using a fork.
Step 3. Add Cornmeal, finely chopped Yellow Onion, Eggs, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper,
All-Purpose Flour, M, and mayonnaise to the bowl, and gently mix until all ingredients are well combined.
Step 4. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, each approximately the
size of a ground beef patty.
Step 5. Place a skillet over medium-high heat and add an inch of oil.
Step 6. Once the oil is hot enough, carefully place the patties into the skillet and cook each side for 3 to
4 minutes or until the color of the patties turns golden brown.
Step 7. Remove the salmon patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
Step 8. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
