INGREDIENTS:
1 pound Shrimp, deveined and peeled
4 cups Linguine, cooked (according to package directions) and drained
For the Scampi Sauce:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small shallot, finely chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
½ tsp dried oregano
¼ cup white cooking wine
½ cup chicken broth
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
4 tbsp butter
¼ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
HOW TO MAKE THIS SHRIMP SCAMPI WITH SPAGHETTI:
Step 1. Place a skillet over medium-high heat; add oil and 2 tbsp of butter.
Step 2. Sprinkle the shrimp with salt and pepper, add them to the skillet, and cook until opaque.
Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and shallot; sauté until softened.
Step 4. Add garlic and sauté for a minute, then pour in cooking wine and continue to cook until reduced
by half.
Step 5. Add chicken broth, oregano, and parsley, and stir to combine.
Step 6. Now incorporate shrimp and cooked linguine into the skillet.
