INGREDIENTS:
1 cup egg noodles, cooked, drained, and rinsed
1 ½ pounds beef chuck, boneless and cut into cubes
1 cup button mushrooms, sliced
1 small yellow onion, diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 ½ tsp Dijon mustard
1 ½ tbsp French Onion Soup Mix
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp steak sauce
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp cold water
1 ½ tbsp cornstarch
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
HOW TO MAKE HOMESTYLE BEEF AND NOODLES:
Step 1. Heat a skillet on medium-high. Add olive oil; when the oil is hot, add beef and sear until golden brown on all sides.
Step 2. Add minced garlic and butter to the seared beef and continue to 1ook for 1 minute or until fragrance.
Step 3. Then add Dijon mustard, beef broth, steak sauce, French onion soup mix, and onion. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Step 4. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil while stirring occasionally. Then reduce heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for 75 minutes for tender beef.
Step 5. Combine cold water and cornstarch in a separate dish.
Step 6. Add sliced cooked egg noodles and mushrooms to the pot and gently stir to combine.
Step 7. Pour in the cornstarch mixture and keep stirring until the sauce thickens.
Step 8. Once done, transfer to the serving dish and serve hot.
