INGREDIENTS:
3 boneless Chicken Breasts, cut into 1” cubes
3 tbsp olive Oil
1 large Egg
3 tbsp Ketchup
1/3 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1 ½ tbsp Soy Sauce
2/3 cup cornstarch
¾ tsp Garlic Powder
1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
Salt, to taste
HOW TO MAKE SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN:
Step 1. Preheat your oven to 325°F
Step 2. Lightly grease a 9×9 baking dish with non-stick spray.
Step 3. In a separate low dish, beat an egg and set aside.
Step 4. Place the chicken in a bowl and sprinkle with salt and pepper; toss gently for an even coating.
Step 5. Transfer the seasoned chicken into a Ziploc bag, add cornstarch, and shake to coat it evenly.
Step 6. Pour oil into a skillet over medium heat. Dip each chicken piece in beaten egg and sear in the skillet.
Step 7. Transfer the seared chicken to the greased baking dish.
Step 8. Add sugar, vinegar, ketchup, soy sauce, garlic powder, and salt in a separate bowl, mix well, and pour over the chicken.
