Taco Salad is a salad that’s loaded with flavors and textures. Ingredients:
1 ½ cups ground beef
3 tsp. taco seasoning
1 small onion, diced
¾ cup cheese, shredded (cheddar, Mexican blend, or taco blend)
¾ cup tomato, diced
3 cups lettuce, shredded
¾ cup cucumber, chopped
sour cream and salsa for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and onion, cook until beef is browned and onion is caramelized, stirring occasionally.
- Remove extra fat from the skillet.
- Stir in Taco Seasoning and continue to sauté for 3 to 4 minutes. Once done, remove from heat and set aside.
- Prepare serving dishes by placing lettuce into each bowl.
- Top with tomatoes, cucumber, and shredded cheese.
- Add the meat mixture to four equal portions to each bowl.
- Sprinkle additional shredded cheese on top.
- Garnish with sour cream or salsa as desired and serve immediately.
