INGREDIENTS:
1-pound frozen hash browns
1 pound ground breakfast sausage
4 whole eggs, beaten
1 cup whole milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/3 cup canned green chilis, chopped
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp salt
HOW TO MAKE HASHBROWN AND SAUSAGE CASSEROLE :
Step 1. Grease a 9×9 casserole dish or baking pan with non-stick Spray.
Step 2. Place a skillet over medium-high heat, add breakfast sausage, crumble, and thoroughly cook them.
Step 3. Drain extra grease and set the sausage aside.
Step 4. Use the same skillet without cleaning and, add frozen hash browns, and cook until the color turns light brown.
Step 5. Layer the browned hash browns into the greased baking pan, followed by evenly placing the cooked sausage on top of the hash browns.
Step 6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the layers and add diced green chilis on the top.
Step 7. Beat eggs in a bowl, then add garlic powder, milk, salt, onion powder, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
Step 8. Pour the egg mixture slowly over the casserole.
Step 9. Place the casserole in the preheated oven at 350°F and Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the eggs are completely cooked through and firm.
Step 10. Once ready, remove from oven, leave to rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve immediately.
