INGREDIENTS:
2 cups white rice, cooked
1 tbsp olive oil
¾ pound shrimps, deveined and peeled
1 ½ tbsp green onions, thinly sliced
1 ½ cups peas and carrots, frozen and thawed
1 whole egg, whisked
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 ½ tsp sesame oil
1 ½ tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
¼ tsp black pepper
HOW TO MAKE FRIED RICE WITH SHRIMP:
Step 1. Begin by washing and rinsing the shrimp under fresh water, pat dry using a paper towel and set them aside for later use.
Step 2. Fill the pot of water over medium-high heat, add rice, and cook following the instructions on the package.
Step 3. Once done, drain the water and set the rice aside.
Step 4. Add 1 tbsp of cooking oil in a skillet placed over medium heat. Once oil is hot, add garlic and Sauté for 1 minute or until fragrance.
Step 5. Then, add peas, carrots, and shrimp to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 6. In the meantime, combine soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, black pepper, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
Step 7. Add the cooked rice to the skillet and pour over the soy sauce mixture while continuing to stir gently. Sauté for an additional 4 minutes.
Step 8. Push the fried rice to one side of the skillet, add the beaten egg, and cook until done. Combinethe rice and egg.
Step 9. Garnish the dish with thinly sliced green onions and serve hot.
